The wheel throwing courses consist of three-month seminars, as this technique also includes learning an electrical machine.
Our goal is for students to be able to learn the shaping technique with the help of the wheel, as well as to practice the possibilities of decoration.
Each wheel-based pottery cycle includes 12 two-hour lessons in which students will be taught, both theoretically and practically, the following:
- kneading of the clay
- basic function of the wheel
- tools and their use
- centering
- creation of simple and complex shapes on the wheel
- trimming
- drying
- decoration with fire colours and bandanas
- glazing
There are 12 lessons in each cycle and in case someone cannot attend one of them, there is no possibility of making it up (unless there is a vacancy in another lesson). In case a lesson is postponed by us, it is made up based on the availability of students and teachers
